A good addition to the Mercy Watts series. This one is a short story but engaging and well written as always. A.W.'s trademark humor is present and that makes for a fun read.Mercy is a nurse with an ability to solve crimes. She comes by it naturally as her father is a retired police detective and now private eye. Mercy has developed an interesting sense of humor as she and her mother bear uncanny resemblances to Marilyn Monroe. I you like your mysteries light with a sense of humor and a bit of pathos this is the series for you. It is not necessary to read them in order but I think they are better that way.

Enjoyed the series, but each can be read as a stand alone book. Lots of background given but not so much as to bore the reader that is reading the series sequence.
I collected a number of books from this series.
It's been awhile, but I remember I liked them and
plan to reread them at some point.
Loved this series.
Very good addition to the series. This author writes a good mystery and the characters are fun and charming. The main characters is the best as Mercy will make you laugh out loud at time. Give this series a try and I think you'll love these books too.
I love the quirky characters. Reminds me of Stephanie Plum. I that the series brings back the characters and has great adventures.
Murder or mayhem, Mercy is your go-to gal. Wacky characters that you'l love to love and laugh-out-loud scenes make the Mercy Watts series a fun read. You'll be looking for the next in the series when you're done.
Mercy can be a pain in the neck. She really acts rather immaturely for an intelligent graduate nurse/Investigator doing work for her PI Dad.. In this book she's on vacation with her mom, Auntie, Dixie and Aaron. She keeps saying she's starving and then giving away her meals to other people. Later complains about getting too fat! Where does that food come from?.
It's kind of cute but I can't wait until I finish it so I can read something with a little more depth.
